Southern Bulk Equipment LLC Rate Sheet for Installation, Startup & Non-Contract Field Service

Installation:  Includes, but is not limited to, uncrating the machine, moving it into position, leveling the machine(s), conveyors and ancillary equipment, connect all the required communications, electrical power and air supply properly (at this point, electrical power and air supply should not be turned On). In order that field service charges are minimized on new installations, we recommend that field wiring and utility hook-ups should be completed by the time our technician arrives; Input voltage, motor rotation, ampere draw of motors, continuity of circuits and switch functions should have been checked. Start-Up: Includes, but is not limited to, verifying voltage compatibility, air pressure and overall functionality. Set-up and fine-tune the equipment to the customer's satisfaction. Give a complete training in order to cover operation, safety and maintenance tips.

Field Service: Southern Bulk Equipment LLC offers its services rebuilding, maintaining and upgrading machinery in the field.  Our field service department consists of a team led by over 15 years experience servicing machinery. Typically we can be on site within 48 hours of a call.  A purchase order must be cut for the minimum amount at the time of initial service. Work is based on a normal eight (8) hour day, with a minimum charge of four (4) hours.

2009 Field Service Rates:

  $55.00 per hour for travel time on normal working days

  $85.00 per hour for work time on normal working days (contiguous 48 U.S. States Only)

  $125.00 per hour for overtime on normal working days and weekends

Travel Expenses:  Charges will include all traveling and living expenses incurred by Southern Bulk Equipment LLC's technical representative on the customer's behalf.  Travel expenses include: transportation to and from airports, trains, or bus depots; air, train or bus fare; car rental charges; private car use by technical representative will be rated at $0.55 per mile.  Living expenses include, but are not limited to, lodging and meals.  Meals are charged on a per diem basis of $45.00 without receipts. When costs are in excess of this rate receipts will be submitted. 

Payment Terms:  An authorized purchase order must be submitted to cover all three (3) service calls must accompany the signed service agreement.  Work is based on a normal eight (8) hour day, with a minimum charge of four (4) hours.  Overtime rates will apply to any time worked over eight (8) hours (not including travel time) on a given day.  Payment terms are net 30 days from date of service.  Failure to pay bills on time could result in revocation of preferred PM labor rate or cancellation of this service agreement.  Southern Bulk Equipment LLC will hold all labor costs at the above stated rate for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of customer signing of this agreement.  After the first initial twelve (12) months of this agreement, Southern Bulk Equipment LLC reserves the right to adjust it's service rates or policies.

Southern Bulk Equipment LLC will provide proof of Liability insurance and proof of Workman's Comp. Insurance if required.  If you require your company as additional insured on our insurance policy, any additional charges for that service will be billed at additional cost. If you require our technician to attend a short on-site safety course before service is performed, this is acceptable. However, you will be charged for the time spent for this safety training.

Southern Bulk Equipment LLC does not supply contractor related services. The technician will visit your facility and provide assistance to your engineering, maintenance, or production personnel.  We do not install or make service connections to any equipment, however, we will be on-site to advise recommended procedures if requested.

While at your site, Southern Bulk Equipment LLC expects that one of your company personnel will be assigned to accompany and assist our technician. This will provide assurance that your company policies are followed, (such as lock and tag out or permits for open electrical or hot work), and will insure the safety of our technician. 

NOTE:  Southern Bulk Equipment LLC does not offer startup, installation & field service on holidays.
